Dave did his undergraduate studies at Yale, and completed his PhD training in David Bartel’s lab at MIT. He was an HHMI/JCCF postdoctoral fellow in John Rinn’s lab, at Harvard, before launching SheqLab at UW in 2017.

Scott completed his undergraduate training here at the University of Washington, before joining the UW Pharmacology PhD program in 2022. He is pioneering the development of new super-resolution RNA-targeted proximity-proteomics tools, and applying these tools to understand mammalian gene-regulatory ncRNAs.

Nick completed his undergraduate training and Master’s Degree at the University of Central Florida before joining the UW Pharmacology program in 2024. He is applying RNA-targeted proximity-interactomic tools to probe RNA-driven mechanisms of neurodegenerative disorders.

Amol joined our lab as an undergraduate biochemistry major, and pursued a variety of projects in the tech-dev and RNA spatial cell biology space. Now an MD/PhD student in the UW’s MSTP program, he remains a close collaborator and friend.

Ian is a UW undergraduate who joined hte lab in 2026. He is helping to develop new RNA-focused proximity ‘omics technologies, and applying these tools to understand how mammalian noncoding RNAs drive nuclear compartmentalization.
